Privacy policy

This policy explains what data the Reji app and the website reji.co process. Questions go to [email protected].

The app

Reji has no accounts. Your decks and learning progress are stored on your device and, if iCloud is enabled, in your private iCloud database. Reji cannot read them.

When you look up a word, request an example sentence, search for an image or play pronunciation, the text you typed is sent to the service that provides that feature. Nothing else about you is sent with it. When you share a deck, its cards are uploaded to Reji’s server so that the link works; you can ask for a shared deck to be deleted at [email protected].

The app sends anonymous usage counts (for example how many decks you created) to help us understand which features are used. These are not linked to your identity.

The website

reji.co uses PostHog for aggregate analytics: which pages are visited, whether a deck was studied in the browser and whether an App Store button was clicked. IP addresses are not stored. No advertising trackers are used.

Card audio and images may be served from a content delivery network, which sees your IP address as part of delivering the file.

Authors

People who publish decks on reji.co have a public profile showing the name, bio and links they chose to provide. Authors can change or remove their profile by emailing [email protected].

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask what data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, and complain to a supervisory authority. Write to [email protected].
